A hit-and-run driver remains at large after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Reseda.
On Friday night, Los Angeles police responded to the crash on the 18600 block of Saticoy Street at around 9:30 p.m.
The victim, identified only as a man between 25-30 years old, was walking southbound on Saticoy when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound.
The impact knocked the man to the ground as the suspect driver sped away from the scene without stopping to help.
The man was prnounced dead by emergency crews at the scene. A police canopy was placed over the victim’s body and the roadway was cordoned off as authorities investigated.
A description of the suspect driver or their vehicle was not provided as the events leading up to the deadly crash remain under investigation.
The victim’s family members, who arrived at the site, were seen crying and hugging each other as they spoke with police.
